This is a ‘lightly edited” recording of Wesley Fryer’s conference breakout session, “iPad Quick Edit Videography” at the July 24, 2012, TechnoPalooza Conference in Northwest ISD, Texas. The official session description was: Learn to shoot, edit, and publish a video on an iPad in a fraction of the time this process takes with a laptop computer and “traditional” video gear! Flash-based video camcorders on mobile computing devices (like the iPad) can empower learners to create and publish “quick edit” videos. In this session we will discuss example iPad videos, explore different apps for quick-edit videography, and learn to to successfully facilitate student-created iPad videos. We’ll also learn about options for puppet videography with iPads, including actual finger puppets as well as virtual puppets using apps like Puppet Pals. Prepare to have fun and unleash a wealth of creative ideas with your students during and following this workshop! Access referenced links and resources on http://wfryer.me/ipadvideo.

This podcast is a recording of Jenny Ashby‘s wonderful presentation, iGeography, at the 2012 Mobile Learning Conference in Phoenix, Arizona, on April 13, 2012. Jenny is an ICT specialist, Prep/1 teacher, reading recovery teacher in Melbourne, Australia. The official session description was: Students today have the world in their hands. Geography couldn’t be easier using various apps on the iPad. Excursions right in their hands without leaving the school. We’ll be using workflows to enhance geography learning and share to the world. [end] Text notes with included videos are also available. Follow Jenny on Twitter @jjash. (Note: Because of a cell phone or mifi device’s proximity to the recorder there was some interference during this recording. Most of those portions of this audio recording have been removed, along with some of the videos – which didn’t have dialog – and some of the exploration time. So this is a slightly abbreviated version of this entire presentation by Jenny.)
